Happy Holidays from WeCareFundraiser!
The ASPCA recently posted an article about how to keep our pets safe during the holiday season. Here are some of its highlights:
❄ Make sure that your Christmas tree is properly fastened to the floor so that it does not accidentally fall on your pet!
❄ Make sure that your pet is not kissing the mistletoe! Ingesting mistletoe can cause gastrointestinal and cardiovascular problems in pets!
❄ Make sure that your pet does not confuse tinsel for a toy! This glittery decoration can cause digestive problems when ingested!
❄ Do not leave candles unattended-- we don’t want your furry friends knocking them over and causing potential fires :(
❄ Do not leave candy around, especially chocolate, which is poisonous to dogs!
❄ Make sure to keep an eye on your pet when company is over (socially distanced of course), especially if they are not fond of other humans!
❄ Although it seems about time to kiss goodbye to 2020, do not leave confetti on the floor after your News Years celebration! If eaten, it can cause intestinal damage in your pet!
